Terms of Service

DataStreet Research

Review version: September 9, 2026. Live checkout remains closed pending launch verification. This is the updated agreement for review, not a notice to existing subscribers.

1 Who We Are

DataStreet Research is provided by DataStreet Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("DataStreet," "we" or "us"). These terms apply to the organization subscribing to the service ("you") and its authorized users. The person accepting them must have authority to bind that organization. The service is intended for business use by adults.

Contact us about subscriptions, support or these terms at support@datastreet.ai. Our website is https://datastreet.ai.

2 Your Plan

The plan includes one subject company, up to five competitors, one Slack workspace and one report channel. It includes an initial competitive review, weekday market briefings, an activity history and downloadable research exports. Product, Marketing and Sales takeaways help your team decide what merits attention.

You can supply competitor websites, relevant publications, topics and company priorities. We attempt to discover related public company and professional social profiles. Historical research targets the previous three months where sources support it; website archives may provide older comparison points. We do not promise complete coverage of every website, person, platform or historical period.

Optional context channels inform the same subject company and report destination. They do not add companies, competitors or delivery workspaces. We may apply reasonable collection, processing and on-demand run limits to maintain service reliability. We will not charge usage overages or add paid services without your agreement.

3 Seven Day Free Trial

Your trial includes the same plan limits for seven consecutive days. It starts when you complete the trial checkout. A valid payment method is required, but there is no subscription charge during the trial. Checkout and your confirmation will show the trial end and first billing date.

Complete the company questionnaire and authorize the Slack installation to receive research. Review the selected workspace and report channel before activation. Connecting Slack does not authorize access to every channel. If setup fails, contact us rather than creating another subscription.

Your subscription fees, billing frequency and currency are those shown at checkout or in an order form and accepted by you (the "Agreed Fees"). Unless you cancel before the trial ends, you authorize us to charge the Agreed Fees at the end of the seven-day trial and at each monthly renewal until canceled, plus any applicable taxes disclosed at checkout or on your invoice. We will send a trial confirmation and a reminder explaining the upcoming charge and how to cancel.

If a DataStreet technical problem prevents activation during the trial, contact us before the first charge so we can resolve the issue and agree an extension or cancellation. We do not guarantee immediate activation when customer setup or Slack administrator approval is incomplete.

4 Renewal Cancellation and Refunds

You can cancel online through Manage Billing in your account, without a sales call. Canceling before the trial ends prevents the first subscription charge. During a paid month, cancellation stops the next renewal and access continues until the current paid period ends. You will receive confirmation of the cancellation and access end date.

Monthly fees are not refunded or prorated for unused time, except where required by law or where we agree otherwise to resolve a billing or service issue. Contact support@datastreet.ai if you believe a charge is incorrect. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory refund, cancellation or other statutory rights.

Removing the Slack app, disconnecting a channel or stopping use of the service does not by itself cancel billing. Use Manage Billing to stop renewal. If you cannot access that control, email support@datastreet.ai for help canceling.

If a payment fails, we may retry payment through Stripe and suspend new research until the subscription is current. We will notify you of the issue. We may change our advertised prices and offers at any time. Changes to your Agreed Fees apply only to future renewals after advance notice and an opportunity to cancel, subject to any notice or consent required by law or your accepted order. A website price change does not by itself change your Agreed Fees. Your current paid period will not be repriced.

Fees exclude taxes that DataStreet is legally required to collect. Applicable taxes will be disclosed before payment where required. This clause does not add a Delaware sales tax or represent that every transaction is taxable.

5 Your Workspace and Content

You are responsible for accurate setup information, account security and permission to provide the content you submit. Only connect channels you are authorized to share with the report audience. A private source channel can inform a report visible to a broader audience, so check those permissions before connecting it.

The app uses replies in registered research threads and new messages from channels an authorized administrator explicitly connects. It does not request direct-message access, monitor the whole workspace or import all past channel history. Do not submit passwords, API keys, payment-card details, health records or other sensitive personal information.

Use the service lawfully. Do not use it to harass people, bypass access controls, infringe intellectual property, distribute malware or obtain data you have no right to access. DataStreet may limit or suspend activity that creates a security, legal or service-abuse risk.

6 Research and AI Limitations

Reports combine available public information and company context you authorize. AI summaries, date estimates, company associations and suggested actions can be incomplete or wrong. A competitor claim or employee review remains an attributed claim, not an independently established fact. Team corrections are additional context, not independent verification.

Use the reports to support human judgment. Check important claims and source dates before acting on them or repeating them externally. Reports are not legal, tax, investment or other regulated professional advice, and we do not guarantee revenue, accuracy, completeness or a particular business outcome. Sources, integrations and delivery timing can change or become unavailable.

7 Ownership and Confidentiality

You retain your rights to the information you submit. You authorize DataStreet and its service providers to process that information to operate, secure and support your service. We retain rights to our software and service design. Public source material remains subject to its owners' rights.

You may use the reports for your organization's internal business purposes and share them with advisers who are authorized to receive your company information. This permission does not transfer ownership of third-party content or grant unrestricted rights to republish it. We will not use your name or logo in marketing without permission.

We will treat nonpublic company context as confidential, limit access to people and providers who need it to deliver or support the service, and require appropriate confidentiality protections. Disclosure may be necessary to comply with law or protect rights and security. Our Privacy Notice describes personal-information processing and retention.

8 Data Controls and Service Termination

Admins can disconnect selected context channels and stop using previously learned context. Raw Slack excerpts stop being used after 30 days; extracted insights stop being used after 180 days. Infrastructure deletion can lag those application limits. Copies already posted to Slack or downloaded are not automatically recalled.

Contact support@datastreet.ai for account-data access, export or deletion requests. Some billing, legal and security records may need to be retained separately. Cancellation, Slack removal and account deletion are separate controls; ask us if you want all three.

We may suspend access promptly for a serious security risk, unlawful activity or material misuse. For other material breaches, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue where practical. If we discontinue your paid service for reasons unrelated to your breach, we will refund the unused prepaid portion.

9 Warranties and Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available, without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or noninfringement. This does not override express commitments in these terms or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable under these terms for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits. Each party's total liability arising from the service is limited to the greater of one month of your Agreed Fees or the subscription fees you paid to DataStreet during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply to your unpaid fees, either party's fraud or willful misconduct, or liability that cannot legally be limited.

10 Changes and Disputes

Delaware law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory law provides otherwise. Unless the parties agree another lawful process, disputes will be heard in state or federal courts in Delaware with jurisdiction. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally.

We will provide notice of material changes to these terms and state when they take effect. Changes will not retroactively alter accrued rights. If law requires renewed consent, we will obtain it. You may cancel before a change applies to a future renewal. These terms, the accepted order and any signed data-processing agreement form the service agreement; mandatory law and a separately signed agreement control in case of conflict.
